BANKGKOK, THAILAND – Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indonesia’s key Online Travel Agent, Traveloka, to enhance the brands’ cooperation and establish the grounds for a strategic partnership.
The MoU was signed at Traveloka’s Campus by Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations – Far East, and Iko Putera, CEO of Transport, Traveloka. The collaboration will help make Emirates’ flights more visible and accessible to travellers in key Asian markets including Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Under this agreement, both parties will also collaborate on joint activities and marketing campaigns.

Thailand has always been a strategic market for Emirates and the airline reaffirms that through its multiple partnerships that it had initiated over the years. Earlier this year, Emirates also signed a Memorandum of Commitment (MoC) with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), pledging its support to promoting tourism in Thailand. The new agreement with leading tech travel and ticketing company, Traveloka, is one more step that reaffirms Emirates’ solid partnership with the market, with over three decades of commitment to Thailand. Emirates currently operates 21 weekly flights from Bangkok to Dubai, as well as 14 weekly flights from Phuket to Dubai. The flights are operated by a mix of the flagship Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
