Thailand wins Best Adventure Destination in 2024 Leisure Lifestyle Awards


Thailand named ‘Best Adventure Destination’ for the second year in Global Traveler’s 2024 Leisure Lifestyle Awards, recognized for top leisure and hotel excellence.

New York, NY – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) New York Office announced that Thailand has been named ‘Best Adventure Destination (International)’ for the second consecutive year in Global Traveler’s 2024 Leisure Lifestyle Awards.

Thailand was recognized in two other prominent categories: ‘Best Leisure Destinations in Asia,’ in which Phuket ranked third, and ‘The Best Hotel Chain in Thailand,’ in which five hotel chains were honored including Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, which ranked number one, Six Senses earned the number two spot, JW Marriott came in third, St. Regis was listed fourth, and Four Seasons came in fifth.

“We are honored that Thailand has been recognized for the second year in a row by Global Traveler as the best international adventure destination,” said Director Chompu Marusachot of the TAT New York Office. “As a destination, we pride ourselves on providing meaningful and unforgettable travel experiences that reflect our vision to ‘Ignite Tourism Thailand,’ which includes the 5 must-do activities: Must Beat (Muay Thai), Must Eat (Thai food), Must Seek (Thai culture), Must Buy (Thai fabric), and Must See (Thai shows). The 2024 Leisure Lifestyle Awards are the 12th edition of the annual awards, in which Global Traveler conducted a survey of its readers July 15, 2023–March 8, 2024, with open-ended questions for the best in many categories of leisure, luxury and lifestyle travel..
