The two best events where you should attend 

1. Dubai shopping festival (DSF)
Dubai shopping festival is one the greatest events organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishments (DFRE) which runs for almost a month and falls under the Dubai Tourism Department. During the time of the festivals, almost all shops give huge discounts on their merchandise and also events are held where you can win a car or precious gold. During this time you can also enjoy a beautiful fireworks show that looks absolutely mesmerising in the night sky. Lots of family activities and the live event takes place all around Dubai. 

The first time the event was held was on 16th February 1996 and took almost 45 days to construct the whole area. From that day it happens every year. The idea behind having this event was Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al. 

This event not only helped the retail industry of Dubai, but it helped the tourism industry as well. In 2006 the festival was postponed due to some internal problems and later it was cancelled. 

Several world records happened in Dubai city during the time of this festival. In 1999 from longest ever gold chain to stationary bicycle all are recorded as a world record. 

This year the event has already started from 15th December 2021 and will end on 29th January 2022. This year also you can enjoy discounts and offers in each and every shop from a small shop to a big seller. 

2. Enjoy Harry Potter experience first time in Dubai
Harry Potter, a billion-dollar franchise, has shown no sign of decreasing popularity till date from the year 1998 when its first book was launched. Harry Potter has millions of fan following around the world and for the first time ever in Dubai, you can enjoy that as well. The event has already started and you can enjoy it till 10th February 2022. The event is happening in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. 

In this event you can enjoy walking through the Forbidden Forest, and can pop inside Hagrid’s Hut. You can also enjoy the experience of walking up the grand staircase of Hogwarts (luckily they do not move), you can sit in the common room of the Gryffindor and much more. Here you can also experience sitting on a broom and along with finding out if you are a good ‘chaser’ or not.

Here Photo ops are also available with The Hogwarts Express, Platform 9 ¾ and of course, you can see Harry Potter face-to-face with Voldemort and you can also see everyone’s favourite house elf Dobby. 

During the event, you can also take part in a Harry Potter quiz contest as well on the first floor of the Mall of Emirates and also you can be dressed up as Harry Potter as well.  

This is quite a unique event that is happening in Dubai for the first time ever and it is open every day from 10.00 AM to 10.00 PM. Do not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity.
