Long-haul destinations proved to be the most popular options in the survey with a trip ‘down under’ being the second most popular country accounting for 19% of young UK member’s plans for where to celebrate the end of exams.

The popular Asian destination Thailand has been named the top destination to visit this summer for solo youth travellers looking for an end of term break. According to new data released by the leading travel dating app and website TourBar.com, 20% of its UK members aged between 18-24 named the beautiful Asian country as the most popular destination to visit alone this summer.

By using TourBar’s website and app, its 2,000 active UK members aged between 18-24 can sign up for free and register an upcoming solo trip to meet other members who are also planning to visit the same destination alone. Students who are planning to spend the summer break at home but are still keen to meet fellow travel-lovers can also register with TourBar as a Guide where they can tour international travellers visiting their home city.
