GBTA appoints advisory board in India

Leading companies represented to design and grow presence in Indian market.

DELHI, MUMBAI – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) — the voice of the global business travel industry — announced the appointment of their advisory board members for its GBTA India chapter and the launch of the dedicated website
The Board members are from both Delhi and Mumbai, where the 2014 India events will take place on August 26th and 28th.
GBTA is pleased to announce the board for India as:
Indriyajit Sethi, Vice President, Group Strategic Sourcing, Tata Group
Gaurav Sundaram, Country Director – India, Egencia
Suresh Makhija, Director – Program Management, Carlson Wagonlit Travel
Keith Mendes, Head – Corporate Services, Vedanta
Devendra Saraiya, Manager – Travel, Deloitte Shared Services India Pvt. Ltd.
Chandresh Natu, Global Spend Management, AON
Jehangir H. Press, General Manager Sales – Global Accounts, India, Taj Group
Manmeet Kum, Associate Director, Sales – Carlson Wagonlit Travel, India
Talking about their appointment, Welf Ebeling, Vice President, Operations for Asia Pacific said: “The concept of local advisory boards has proven to be highly effective and in the case of GBTA India I am pleased to have a group of such experienced industry professionals offering their time and expertise to bring the association’s core activities, education, research, advocacy and networking to the country’s fast growing corporate travel market.”
Based on last September’s successful launch conference which was oversubscribed, this year’s events in Mumbai and Delhi will follow the successful format of high level educational Symposiums for hosted buyers only. Suppliers have the opportunity to participate as sponsors or exhibitors at both events.
Mr. Ebeling further commented: “We are grateful to have Taj Hotels supporting us for a second year running. Not only are their hotels ideal venues for such events but their generous contribution allow us to be selective in inviting top corporate travel buyers to these conferences.”
