HONG KONG – Tourism Authority of Thailand, Hong Kong (TAT-HK) and Thai AirAsia have joined hands to invite travelers from Hong Kong and Macao to Thailand, presenting a variety of routes, including Hong Kong-Bangkok (Don Mueang) 2 flights a day, Hong Kong-Chiang Mai 1 flight a day, Hong Kong-Phuket 1 flight a day and Macao-Bangkok (Don Mueang) 2 flights a day, all boasting value, on-time performance and assured service.

Ms. Naparat Vudhivad, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Hong Kong said, “After the pandemic, people pay more attention to travel than ever before, they are more willing to spare time and money for travel, and want to give greater meaning to their journeys. The reasons, meanings, and feelings of each journey can vary from person to person, and every trip has a unique story. The Tourism Authority of Thailand, Hong Kong, hopes to use this year’s tourism theme – “Amazing New Chapters” to lead everyone to experience a new perspective of Thailand so that all tourists can share more memorable and meaningful travel stories home with them.”

Mr. Krid Pattanasan, Head of Government Relations, Thai AirAsia added that AirAsia resumed Hong Kong and Macao routes to Bangkok (Don Mueang) because it sees great potential and demand among travelers with Thailand remaining a top destination for tourists from both Hong Kong and Macao. Thai AirAsia has prepared to serve these routes for tourism as well as business purposes.

On top of direct flights to Bangkok, AirAsia is also offering service from Hong Kong to Chiang Mai and Phuket, top destinations among Thai and global travelers. Both cities are uniquely attractive and ready to welcome visitors seeking new experiences.

“Thailand is ready to welcome all visitors, who will find shopping, culture and Thai cuisine in abundance. Moreover, Thailand is a regional hub and AirAsia offers an extensive network, allowing travelers to Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Phuket to continue onward to more popular destinations whether in Thailand, such as Krabi, Chiang Rai or throughout ASEAN, such as Vietnam and Myanmar” Mr. Krid said.

Thai AirAsia currently flies Hong Kong-Bangkok (Don Mueang) 2 flights a day, Hong Kong-Chiang Mai 1 flight a day, Hong Kong-Phuket 1 flight a day and Macao-Bangkok (Don Mueang) 2 flights a day with value, on-time performance and assured service.
