The issue of Olympic Airways<.>` Athens-Melbourne flight – which was abolished by the carrier`s previous administration – was raised during a recent meeting in Athens between the premier of the Australian state of Victoria, Steve Bracks, and the firm`s managing director Dionysios Kalofonos.

During their discussion, which included a number of OA managerial staff, issues concerning business policies were covered as well as the general operation of OA in Victoria.

Bracks expressed his satisfaction with the improvement in the airline`s services following the introduction of new Airbus A340-300 aircraft to its fleet and promised the Victorian government would support OA in every way it could.

Kalofonos and Bracks agreed to keep in contact with regards the various issues but also in order to further develop cooperation.
