Direct flights between Changzhou and Tokyo launch Sept. 21, 2024, boosting convenience for both leisure travelers and business exchanges.
As of September 21, 2024, travelers in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, will have a direct flight option to Tokyo, Japan, thanks to a new service launched by Donghai Airlines. This exciting development is set to enhance both leisure travel and business exchanges between the two cities, offering a streamlined connection that will cut travel time and improve convenience for passengers.
Flight Schedule and Details
The Changzhou-Tokyo direct flight will operate three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—departing from Changzhou Benniu International Airport at 10:55 a.m. Beijing time. Passengers will land at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport at 3:00 p.m. local time. For the return journey, flights will leave Narita at 4:00 p.m. local time and arrive back in Changzhou at 7:10 p.m. Beijing time.
This new service is expected to be a game-changer for residents of Changzhou and the surrounding region, offering quicker access to Japan’s capital city for both tourism and business purposes.
Impact on Leisure Travel and Regional Cooperation
For leisure travelers, this direct connection makes trips to Tokyo far more convenient. Instead of navigating multiple layovers, travelers can now enjoy a shorter, non-stop journey. Tokyo, known for its unique blend of modern attractions and traditional culture, is a highly popular destination, and the new route is likely to stimulate increased tourism between the two countries.
However, the benefits extend beyond tourism. Changzhou, a key city in Jiangsu Province, is home to numerous manufacturing and technology companies that have strong trade relationships with Japanese businesses. The direct flight route will facilitate easier and faster exchanges, helping strengthen existing partnerships and encouraging new business ventures. As the Changzhou Benniu International Airport noted, the new route will bolster regional cooperation and enhance trade opportunities between Changzhou and Japan.
Expanding Connectivity from Changzhou
Changzhou Benniu International Airport already serves over 40 domestic and international destinations, and the addition of this direct flight to Tokyo further expands its global reach. As the region continues to grow as a business and travel hub, the airport’s expanding network will play a crucial role in supporting regional development and connecting Changzhou to major international markets.
