AirAsia MOVE onboards Air Mauritius, enhancing its OTA services with seamless booking options across multiple continents for diverse destinations.

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – AirAsia MOVE, the region’s leading OTA continues to expand its list of airline partners by onboarding Air Mauritius, the national airline of the island of Mauritius as its latest direct airline partner.

The partnership between AirAsia MOVE and Air Mauritius was formalised at a signing ceremony between Yeoh Sai Ho, Head of Flights OTA at AirAsia MOVE and Heavin Robert Lourdasamy, Manager, Malaysia & Singapore of Air Mauritius at AirAsia MOVE’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur recently.

In line with AirAsia MOVE’s vision to be ASEAN’s favourite travel companion by creating inclusive and delightful journeys, this partnership empowers travellers with a wide array of services on the AirAsia MOVE app and effortlessly book flights to exciting destinations served by Air Mauritius across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Indian Ocean region.

Dabraj Sing, Chief Business Officer of AirAsia MOVE, in expressing his enthusiasm for the partnership, said: “We are delighted to have Air Mauritius as one of the notable global carriers on our direct airline partners list. Thank you for giving AirAsia MOVE the trust to market your extensive route network spanning many continents to the over 15 million monthly active users on our platform.

“Airlines that partner directly with us can leverage our extensive marketing initiatives and reach a much wider audience without any extra costs, aside from providing their guests with convenience as our platform enables virtual interlining where travelers can book multiple carriers in one itinerary. For example, an Air Mauritius guest travelling from Mauritius to Kuala Lumpur and then connecting to Chiang Rai on AirAsia can easily make the booking in one itinerary.”

Ziyaad Parthasee, Ag Chief Commercial Officer of Air Mauritius, stated: “We are delighted to partner with AirAsia MOVE, enabling our passengers to enjoy a seamless experience with their user-friendly interface, making it easy to find and book the perfect flights while simplifying the booking process. This interlines agreement enhances convenience for Air Mauritius passengers and will elevate our travellers’ experience.’’

Aside from Air Mauritius, AirAsia MOVE partners directly with over 70 notable airlines partners such as Citilink, ANA, Bangkok Airways, Etihad, and more on its platform. Aside from that, AirAsia MOVE users can conveniently choose from over 900,000 hotels across the globe to complete their travel plans, along with first and last-mile connectivity through airport transfers, and other ancillary travel products such as online duty-free shopping, travel insurance and more. All of these services are encapsulated by the AirAsia Rewards loyalty program, allowing users to earn and redeem AirAsia points for every transaction across the whole ecosystem within the app.
