Air Astana introduces a new direct route from Astana to Phuket, starting October 26, 2024, enhancing Kazakhstan-Thailand connectivity.
Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s national carrier, has announced the launch of a new direct flight service from Astana to Phuket, Thailand’s largest and most popular resort island. This new route is scheduled to commence on October 26, 2024, and will significantly enhance the connectivity between Kazakhstan and Thailand, a favored destination for both leisure and business travelers.
The new service from Astana will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, with departure at 21:40 and arrival in Phuket at 07:45 next day. The return flight will depart Phuket on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 09:30 and arrive in Astana at 16:10. All times local. The flight duration is 8 hrs 5 mins outbound to Phuket and 8hrs 40 mins on the return sector.
This new route is an important addition to Air Astana’s network, supplementing the existing service from Almaty to Phuket, which currently operates five times a week. The Almaty-Phuket service will also be upgraded to a daily schedule starting on October 26, 2024, providing even more options for passengers traveling between Kazakhstan and Thailand.
All flights to Phuket, including those from Astana, will be operated by the state-of-the-art Airbus A321LR aircraft. This aircraft is configured with 16 business class seats and 150 economy class seats, offering a high level of comfort across both cabins. Business class passengers will enjoy fully lie-flat seats, which are ideal for long-haul flights, while those traveling in economy class will benefit from ergonomic seating designed to enhance comfort during the journey. Additionally, each seat is equipped with an individual entertainment system, ensuring that passengers can enjoy a wide selection of movies, music, and games throughout their flight.
The introduction of the Astana to Phuket route aligns with Air Astana’s strategic expansion plans, aiming to increase its presence in Southeast Asia and cater to the growing demand for leisure travel to tropical destinations.
