Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels has reinforced its position as Australasia’s market leader in hotel investment services, announcing the promotion of Geordie Clark to Managing Director, Australasia and Yann Goh to Executive Vice President, as well as the appointment of Gus Moors to the Corporate Advisory team. All are based in the firm’s Sydney office.

Geordie Clark promoted to Managing Director, Australasia

In his new role as Managing Director, Mr Clark will oversee the firm’s operations in Australasia and will retain his current investment sales role.

Geordie Clark joined Jones Lang Wootton’s International Hotel Division in 1989 and established the Queensland operation of JLW TransAct in 1993. Mr Clark returned to Sydney in 1996 to head up the Tourism Property Sales area for the company’s Australia and New Zealand operations. Mr Clark has been responsible for over $1 billion in hotel sales during the last several years. Recent investment sales include the Le Meridien Sydney and the Hilton Sydney Airport.

Yann Goh promoted to Executive Vice President

Yann’s promotion reflects her achievements in the areas of corporate advisory, particularly in the area of asset management, as well as financial management, over her four years with the firm said Mr Gibson.

Ms Goh’s extensive background with hospitality companies commenced in 1996 upon her appointment to South Pacific Hotel Corporation as Financial Controller for the Holiday Inn St Kilda Road Melbourne and Sydney’s Parkroyal at Darling Harbour. Ms Goh has also worked in both Australia and New Zealand for Marriott Inc. as Financial Controller of their Airport Concession business.

Gus Moors appointed to Vice President, Corporate Advisory

Mr Moors will be responsible for asset management services in Sydney.

Gus’s expertise in operational reviews, feasibility studies and cashflow forecasting will be invaluable, said Mr Gibson.

Mr Moor added Our operational expertise helps to ensure operators maintain an ongoing focus at maximising returns and capital growth for the property owners.

Most recently, Mr Moors was employed by Medina Serviced Apartments as Regional Operations Manager for a period of three years. The role encompassed the supervision of daily operations for five of the Group’s properties, including sales and marketing, occupational health and safety and cost control responsibilities.

Prior to this, Mr Moors held the position of Hospitality Consultant with Arthur Andersen for five years and completed an extensive two-year management traineeship with the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney.

He holds a Masters of Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Hospitality Management from the University of New South Wales.
