Four Points by Sheraton Darling Harbour Sydney has won the prestigious Starwood Hotels & Resorts ‘2005 Hotel of the Year (Four Points Brand)’ award. The award was presented by Steve Heyer (CEO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.) during Starwood’s World Conference in San Diego, California.
Mr. Peter Thompson, General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Darling Harbour Sydney has praised the hotel’s team of employees, acknowledging that winning the award would not have been possible without their personal commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.

Four Points by Sheraton Darling Harbour will now add this award to its portfolio which already includes ‘Best Superior Hotel 2005 (National)’ in the AHA Awards for Excellence. Previous awards include ‘Best Superior Hotel 2004 (NSW)’ in the AHA Awards for Excellence and `First Class Accommodation Hotel` in the 2004 Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) Excellence Awards.
The Starwood World Conference was held in San Diego, California from Monday 9th January, 2006 to Friday 13th January 2006 and played host to Starwood’s most senior Executives and General Managers from across the world. Held at various Starwood properties throughout San Diego, delegates were treated to guest speakers, themed seminars and nightly parties during the course of the week.
