The Ban Gioc (Vietnam) – Detian (China) Waterfalls landscape officially opened to tourists on 15 October after a successful trial run.
The landscape site of Ban Gioc (Vietnam) – Detian (China) Waterfalls was officially opened to tourists on 15 October. The inauguration ceremony was co-organized by the People’s Committee of Cao Bang Province and the People’s Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region after more than a year of trial run.

Based on the agreement on cooperation to protect and exploit the tourism resources of Ban Gioc – Detian Waterfalls, a sightseeing tour in the landscape area of Ban Gioc – Detian Waterfalls was pilot operated from 15 September 2023 and achieved good results.
A report from the Cao Bang Provincial People’s Committee showed that between 15 September 2023 and 11 October 2024, 16,092 tourists visited the site, including 5,190 from Viet Nam to the Chinese side and 10,902 from China to the Vietnamese side.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Cao Bang Province Trinh Truong Huy emphasized that in the spirit of jointly protecting and exploiting tourism resources, and developing the site into a distinctive tourist destination, both sides should further strengthen their exchange and coordination efforts in protecting the tourism resources, and preserving natural resources and cultural values in this landscape site.
As scheduled, the Ban Gioc (Vietnam) – Detian (China) Waterfalls landscape site will operate from 8am (Ha Noi time) or 9am (Beijing time) until 2pm and 3pm, respectively.
