The Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS) has elected its 44th Executive Committee at the Annual General Meeting on 18 May 2023 to advance the growth and lead advocacy efforts for the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) industry in Singapore.

The election of the new SACEOS Executive Committee comes at a crucial time as the MICE industry continues its robust recovery amidst the return of international MICE events and visitors in Singapore. With the mandate that has bestowed upon the new leadership, the Association is committed to build on the good work it has done to support the industry’s recovery over the past three years.

While there is strong optimism in the industry’s outlook, SACEOS is committed to its vision of working with its members, industry players and the government to address challenges in areas such as manpower and talent, as well as to lead the industry’s efforts towards a more sustainable future. To transform this vision into reality, SACEOS will be organising the Singapore MICE Forum (SMF) from 26 – 28 July 2023, a flagship forum attracting key policymakers, stakeholders, and MICE practitioners from around the world.

Richard Ireland, President, SACEOS, said: “Together with the SACEOS 44th Executive Committee, we are humbled and privileged to be leading the Association and MICE industry into an exciting new chapter of growth. The MICE industry has made a strong comeback since its reopening and is on track to recover to pre-pandemic levels over the next few years. Therefore, as the voice and champion of MICE, the role of SACEOS has never been more important during this critical phase of growth for the industry.

“While the outlook for the industry is very positive, there remain challenges facing the industry such as manpower, talent and sustainability. And SACEOS is committed to collaborating with our members, industry players and the government in addressing the challenges so as to advance the industry’s growth and strengthen Singapore’s position as a leading global MICE destination.”
