Tigerair puts on additional Sydney – Whitsunday Coast services to meet demand

The new Sunday services go on sale today, for travel commencing 25 October 2015.

Tigerair Australia announced additional flights from Sydney to Whitsunday Coast Airport in response to increased demand for services to the region.

The new Sunday services go on sale today, for travel commencing 25 October 2015.

Tigerair Australia launched three weekly return services between the two popular destinations in April 2014. In 2015, the airline added an additional Monday service in peak school holidays periods to cater for increased demand at these times.

Tigerair Australia Commercial Director, Adam Rowe, says today’s announcement of a new permanent Sunday service is great news for the region.

We have already responded to strong peak period demand by adding additional flights on Mondays during school holiday periods in 2015.

We are now introducing Sunday flights permanently into the new season schedule which commences from 25 October 2015, providing nearly 19,000 additional visitor seats annually through Whitsunday Coast Airport,” said Mr Rowe.

The new Sunday services are on sale from today for travel commencing 25 October 2015. The services depart Sydney at 9:10am and return from Whitsunday Coast at 11:15am.
