Three Senior Executives join Estate Manager Murli Rao. The Sanchaya is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Elite Resorts of Asia Pacific and Secret Retreats.
BANDAR BENTAN TELANI – Murli Rao, the Estate Manager of The Sanchaya announced three further appointments for the Luxury Estate, slated to open in the first quarter of 2014 on the Indonesian island of Bintan. Joining Murli are Amelie Albertin, Rooms Division Manager; Jasper Kok, Director of Food and Beverage; and Peter Marx, Executive Chef.
Amelie joins The Sanchaya from Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa, where she was the Front Office Manager. With experience managing both front and back of house, French national Amelie brings with her invaluable experience overseeing some of the most unique and luxurious properties from renowned hospitality brands which includes Four Seasons, Banyan Tree and Relais & Chateaux properties.
A seasoned F&B professional, Jasper most recently held the position of Food and Beverage Manager at the Soneva Fushi on the Kunfundhoo Island in the Maldives. A self-confessed oenophile and a certified Court of Master Sommelier, he has also held the position of Area Head Sommelier for the award-winning Six Senses Resorts and Spas.
Joining Jasper in the Food and Beverage department, Executive Chef Peter joins the team from Mia Resorts in Vietnam where he oversaw three of their properties in his capacity as Group Executive Chef. His journey to date has taken him to over 57 countries across three continents, with extensive experience working with varied cuisines and working alongside some of the leading culinary stars at renowned restaurants worldwide. His diverse experience will ensure the guests at The Sanchaya experience a culinary journey to match those of Chef Peter’s own voyages.
Amelie, Jasper and Peter join The Sanchaya’s current Executive Committee, Tyas Rosani, Director of Human Resources; Kris Marthin, Director of Sales and Marketing; Andie Wasdianto, Finance Controller; and Jorico Randy, Chief Engineer.
