Shangri-La`s Tanjung Aru Resort in Kota Kinablau, Sabah, Malaysia announced the implementation of High-Speed Internet Access (HSIA) in its newly refurbished Tanjung Wing Rooms, Horizon Floor, Horizon Lounge, Business Centre, Grand Ballroom and in all function rooms. The installation of the state-of-the-art facilities is part of a recent multi million-dollar refurbishment of the five-star resort.

This is just part of our continuing effort to provide guests with the very best and giving them the opportunity to work in the comfort of their room, staying connected to their office, business partners and the rest of the world. They require the ability to connect their computers to the Internet via HSIA connections commented the hotel`s General Manager, Mr. Mark J. Heywood.

The resort`s new HSIA is equipped with a dedicated 2 megabit leased line and is connected via an ethernet connection which means that no modem is required. The HSIA service provides guests seamless connectivity to their networks via the Internet without any configuration of their laptops or notebooks. At the same time it allows for simultaneous phone usage as guests can use the in-room telephone and the HSIA service concurrently, with no degradation in service quality.

Guests staying at the newly refurbished Tanjung Wing rooms and Horizon Floor can enjoy unlimited complimentary HSIA. This new service is also available complimentary for guests in the Horizon Lounge.

Meanwhile guests holding their seminars or events in the resort`s Business Centre, seven function rooms and Grand Ballroom, will be able to rent the use of the wired HSIA service through the hotel`s 2 megabit leased line.
