Travel to the Philippines remains safe and secure. Primary tourist destinations in Metro Manila, Cebu, Bohol, Palawan, Boracay and the rest of the country are undisturbed. “The All appropriate government agencies, including law enforcement agencies, have coordinated their activities to ensure the safety of all tourists travelling to or staying in the Philippines”, informed the Secretary of Tourism Joseph H. Durano. “We ensure the travelling public and the overseas markets that the tourist destinations of the country remain safe, bolstered by the inherent warmth and hospitality of the Filipino people”, he wrote in a letter to UNWTO.

Business operations in the Philippines remain normal. The Philippine Department of Tourism, together with law enforcement agencies, continues to monitor all activities within the tourist destinations. No major cancellations of groups traveling to the islands have been reported.

The Philippine Department of Tourism, jointly with the entire travel industry, assures visitors that travel to the country remains safe and secure.
