WoW! Technologies, Inc. a privately held provider of pre-paid, PIN-activated debit cards, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Department of Tourism for the joint promotion of the Philippines as a prime tourist destination in Asia.

WoW! Technologies markets the WoW! Cash Card — a PIN-based debit card that functions like an ordinary ATM card and can be used for purchases in retail locations all over the world. The WoW! Cash Card can be purchased from various outlets all over the continental United States. Cash can also be loaded at these outlets

Philippine Tourism Secretary Joseph `Ace` Durano signed the pact in Manila with WoW! Technologies, Inc. Chairman and CEO Rick Willard. The agreement outlines the marketing and promotions support WoW! Card Services will provide the Department of Tourism to augment its current campaign to promote the Philippines worldwide.

Durano and Philippine Congressman Simeon Kintanar, as well as officials from the Department of Tourism, hailed the agreement as a strategic advantage to the current marketing thrust of the department whose task is to promote the Philippines as major international tourist destination.

We are dedicated to an all-out marketing campaign to provide Filipinos in the United States, and very soon the world, a better, more economical way of sharing money in the Philippines, said Rick Willard, Chairman and CEO of WoW! Card Services. The savings through cheaper transaction fees could provide additional cash to beneficiaries in the Philippines.

This agreement will help our tourism efforts in the Philippines, said Durano. By having easy access to cash, tourists can enjoy their visit to our country even more.
