Another acquisition for the Panthera Group opening up the possibility of going public
Bangkok Thailand: Panthera Group Thailand, a fast becoming conglomerate of multiple nightlife and food and beverage venues, has recently acquired the well-known and much loved Whisgars Bangkok.
Whisgars was originally set up by Californian Hillman Lentz and Eddy Guerra. The Sukhumvit Branch opened in Bangkok in May 2013 and is a well-known venue which has hosted many celebrities.
Whisgars boasts over 180 different whiskeys and several hundred cigars from Nicaragua, Honduras, the Dominican Republic and Cuba.
Panthera Group has been established for over 12 years in the Bangkok food and beverage industry with the acquisition and management of several well-known eateries and nightlife venues, most notably Levels and Insanity nightclubs, as well as several Bangkok restaurants and pubs including Rossano’s Italian Restaurant, The Australian, Kiwi and Scruffy Murphy’s.
“This was part of a well-planned expansion of the group that had been in place for some time and may lead to the company going public in the not too distant future,” says Paul Hayward, co-Founder and CEO.
Panthera Group is one of the fastest growing, privately owned companies in Thailand, with operations in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya and Koh Samui.
The recently rebranded Group has formed over 17 years ago as an amalgamation of various Food & Beverage, nightlife, Hotel, Property, Investment and Management companies.
Since then the company has evolved into a diversified group with dozens of outlets throughout Thailand.
