Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town has announced the appointment of Pamela Ong as its General Manager. Formerly Hotel Manager, she was promoted to this senior role on May 29th, 2022.
A highly skilled hospitality professional with more than two decades of experience in Southeast Asia, Pamela has a proven track record of strong leadership and delivering outstanding results. She first joined Marriott International in 2001 as Director of Sales & Marketing of Miri Marriott Resort & Spa in Malaysia, before transferring to The Stones Hotel – Legian Bali, Autograph Collection in Indonesia.
Pamela moved to Thailand in 2017, initially as Director of Sales & Marketing at two properties – Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit and Marriott Executive Apartments Bangkok, Sukhumvit Thonglor – before being promoted to the key role of Hotel Manager with Le Méridien Chiang Mai. Having moved to Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town in 2020, she oversaw the successful opening of the property as Hotel Manager before achieving her first General Manager’s role.
A highly motivated executive with a commitment to excellence, Pamela completed her Marriott Elevate General Manager program in 2018 and is also a BMSC Sales University certified trainer. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, exploring new cultures and spending time with her family.
