The new aircraft, to be based in Athens, will flight direct to the Thai capital and exclusively serve those individuals travelling between the two cities.
The new generation jet, with a 388-passenger capacity, is representative of the firm`s effort to improve customer service. Thai considers Greece, due to its geographic position, a key market.
Flight TG947 departs twice weekly from Athens (Tuesday, Thursday) at 4pm and reaches Bangkok the next day at 6.30am. Flight TG946 takes off from Bangkok on the same days at 12.30am and reaches Athens at 6.15am.
The new aircraft, which has all the latest features including personal video screens, ensures more seats for travellers between the two cities since it does not continue on to Rome.
