MATTA Fair poised for reinventing itself

MATTA Fair 2014 also promises improved facilities for exhibitors.

KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) unveiled new features for visitors and exhibitors participating in MATTA Fair March 2014.

Hosting a MATTA Fair March 2014 Launch Reception at the Renoma Cafe here in Kuala Lumpur, MATTA President, Hamzah Rahmat spoke to press and corporate sponsors about some of the new features to be incorporated into MATTA Fair March 2014.

Hamzah also stressed on the importance of MATTA, as the largest association for travel agents and tour operators in Malaysia, of keeping abreast with the latest development and trends of travel industry. He also emphasized MATTA’s willingness to embrace new ideas and to continually strive to achieve world-class standards. This is in line with MATTA’s vision in contributing to the growth and development of the travel and tourism in Malaysia.

During the launch reception, Hamzah briefly described some the new features to be implemented in the upcoming MATTA Fair in March next year.

The first of these features is an improved visitor registration system that will make it possible for visitors to the fair to purchase tickets both online and offline. This improvement also promises to shorten queuing time for visitors collecting their tickets at the fair.

Another crowd-pleasing feature announced will be that all visitors, not just those who made purchases, will automatically be in the running to win attractive prizes and discounts on entry tickets.

More attention will be paid towards collecting quality data during the fair. This will allow MATTA to better assess the needs and wants of visitors and exhibitors with the objective improving future MATTA Fairs for all participants.

MATTA proactively engages members and exhibitors through dialogue sessions. The main objective of these sessions is to glean and gather new and innovative ideas from members and subsequently to implement these ideas in the MATTA Fair.

The president cordially invited everyone to visit MATTA Fair next year and “discover the excitement of a travel fair experience.”
