Join.In and Vatel Group to open a new campus in China

This latest expansion of Vatel is the result of strategic cooperation between the French school and Join.In Hospitality Management Co. Ltd.

SHANGHAI – As of September 2018, Vatel Hotel and Tourism Business School is opening its doors in the city of Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

First set up in Paris in 1981 and recognized as The 1st Worldwide Business School Group in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Vatel has grown to impressive 45 campuses across 4 continents, with a respectable network of 33,000 alumni.

This latest expansion of Vatel is the result of strategic cooperation between the French school and Join.In Hospitality Management Co. Ltd. (JHM), the exclusive licensee and operator of Tonino Lamborghini Hotels & Resorts in greater China and other regions.

Given our expansion plan for Tonino Lamborghini Hotels & Resorts, we will soon find ourselves in the position of dramatic need of highly educated hospitality professionals,” said Roberto Simone, Chief Operating Officer, JHM. “A prestigious hospitality institution as Vatel will give us the leverage of having a continuous source of fresh talent while at the same time offering the opportunity of high-quality education in the internationally high-demand hospitality sector to Chinese and international students.”

Vatel Suzhou will be offering Bachelor and full-time MBA programs, with part-time MBA and short executive programs to be added to the curriculum in the near future. The courses will be a mix of theoretical classes and hands-on practice in operating hotels and restaurants and will be delivered in English by experienced professors and hospitality industry professionals. All Vatel’s degrees are recognized by the French Ministry of Labor as a Professional Certification (RNCP).

As we see Chinese outbound tourism to almost every country in the world increasing at a rapid pace, we recognize that our goal is not only to train Chinese professionals for the local hospitality market but to also prepare them for all the international opportunities waiting for them all around the world,” said Paul d’Azemar, Vatel Suzhou campus director. “In a similar way, we will be also training international students to prepare them for work in China.”

The Vatel campus in Suzhou will offer its students 3500 square meters of eco-friendly state-of-the-art facilities including a restaurant, café, and a comprehensive library/computer room. The campus is conveniently located in the Dushu Lake education zone of Suzhou Industrial Park.

A great opportunity to learn more about the programs and meet the members of the faculty in person will be two open days held by Vatel Suzhou on its campus:

  • June 30th from 9:30 to 12:00
  • July 7th from 9:30 to 12:00
