The Japanese tourists coming to straight from their country to Bali in September 2003, accounted for most of the foreign tourists in the island paradise during the said period.

Immigration chief at Bali`s Ngurah Rai Airport I Gde Widiartha said that in September 2003 a total of 26,605 Japanese tourists had visited Bali, followed by 18,082 Taiwanese and 17,278 Australian tourists.

Germany came in fourth with 6,898 people, followed by South Korea 4,106, and the UK 3,848 tourists.
