The number of international flights landing in Thailand`s southern resort province of Phuket has grown by a stunning 28 percent this year, the head of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)`s Southern Office, Region 4 revealed.
Mrs. Suwalai Pinpradap said that the tiny island province was now receiving 382 flights each week, of which 203 were domestic flights and the remainder international ones.
Expressing confidence that more flights would mean higher visitor numbers, she said that next year was likely to be an impressive one for Phuket`s tourism industry.
