Hyatt<.> International announced the mid-January opening of Hyatt Regency, the only five-star hotel in the republic of Kyrgyzstan and the fourth Hyatt property in the Commonwealth of Independent States (C.I.S.). Conveniently located in the heart the capital city, the hotel is located in the business and government district, across from the State Opera and the Art Museum. Ideally placed to host the global business and conference traveller in this burgeoning country, Hyatt hopes to also welcome the international adventure and eco-travellers, attracted by the pristine natural beauty of the country.

Hyatt Regency is a mixed-use property offering 186 generously sized rooms, suites and long-stay residences, conference and banquet facilities, restaurants, a health club and extensive office space. According to Andre Pury, senior vice president, Hyatt International Europe, Africa, Middle East, Hyatt International is delighted to be able to continue to build on its track record in the C.I.S., following the opening of the Hyatt Regency Baku in 1995, the Hyatt Regency Almaty in 1996 and the Park Hyatt Baku in 1999. We are developing a strong presence in central Asia where we have identified a high level of demand by our international business clientele. We believe that there is also the potential for a substantial increase in future growth, both in the regional economy and through the continuing development of the tourist sector.

Hyatt Regency is poised to set new standards for excellence in hospitality in the city of Bishkek, becoming a new addition portfolio of 199 Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in 37 countries.

The cosmopolitan hotel houses 139 deluxe rooms, including five Executive Suites and a Presidential Suite. The spacious rooms are geared towards the comfort and changing needs of the global business traveller, offering a feeling of sanctuary where everything is finely calibrated from climate control to ergonomically sensible workspaces, and with an easy modem access to the wired world of cyberspace. All rooms are fitted with large wardrobes, personal coded laptop sized safes, satellite TV, IDD phones, modem points, mini-bars and 100% Egyptian cotton linens with goose down feather duvets. Queen rooms have a shower-bathtub combination, and deluxe rooms and suites feature Japanese spa bathrooms, with glass-enclosed shower-bath enclaves. All bathrooms are fitted with a black marble vanity, mist-free shaving / make-up mirror, towel warmers and a hair dryer. For the long stay business traveller the hotel also offers the option of 49 serviced studio residences that may be rented on a monthly basis.

Two floors of executive accommodation are provided at the Regency Club along with all-day personalized concierge service. Guests of Regency Club can enjoy daily breakfast, evening cocktails served with hors d`oeurves and all-day coffee and tea in the comfort of their exclusive Regency Club Lounge. Other privileges include the use of a private boardroom.

Crostini, the hotel`s 140-seat restaurant, offers an array of delightful sights, sounds and aromas as chefs prepare seasonal Mediterranean cuisine from an open theatre kitchen, replete with its own wood-burning oven. A private dining room is ideal for business or social dinners and during the temperate summer months a sweeping terrace allows for pleasant al fresco dining. Opera Lounge is the ideal place for an impromptu get-together or a casual meeting. With views over the hotel gardens and the National Opera, the lounge serves up light fare, aromatic coffees and teas, cool drinks and delectable pastries. The Bar @ 191, Bishkek`s trendiest spot, is the place to relax after a hectic day with a favourite drink, good music and good friends.

To wind down after a day of hectic business dealings, the business traveller may enjoy a visit to Club Olympus, the city`s most comprehensive and sophisticated fitness centre and spa. The club houses a gym fitted with the state-of-the-art Technogym exercise equipment, three private saunas with relaxation areas, a large Jacuzzi, steam room, massage room and a beauty salon. A large free-form outdoor pool with Jacuzzi opens during the long summer months.

Extensive conference and meeting space, located on the ground floor, includes a spacious Ballroom seating 220 guests for dinner with unobstructed views and access to the hotel`s outdoor pool area. Two meeting rooms and one boardroom may be set for smaller meetings, breakout sessions or private dinners. All rooms are accessible via a pre-function area, convenient for exhibitions, cocktails or coffee breaks.

The hotel`s Business Centre provides the international traveller with an `office away from the office`. Multi-lingual expert staff offers full secretarial and business support services. Workstations equipped with the latest software and Internet access are also available.

Hyatt Regency Bishkek also houses 1250 m2 of office space divided into 33 separate units. Each office can be adapted to meet the specific requirements of the occupant and all benefit from personal climate control, as well as comprehensive security coverage for all the areas of the hotel. The offices have direct access to the hotel`s restaurants for business lunches and dinners, and the hotel`s facilities may be conveniently booked for meetings, banquets and conferences.
