A high demand for seats to Bali from UK travel agents has prompted
The winter timetable comes into operation on October 28, when the Indonesian national carrier traditionally drops from three to two flights week from London Gatwick.
Said UK sales manager Bruce Watson: Business to Bali has recovered very well and we are currently operating load factors of 85% and more. Forward bookings for the next six months show that this trend is set to continue. We are delighted to be able to support both tour operators and seat-only agencies by continuing with three flights a week – the only direct services to Bali out of the UK.
The new timetable continues with outbound and inbound flights departing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays with all departures remaining at 16:45. Flights arrive in Bali at 17:30 the following day.
Garuda offers a three class service on its ex-Gatwick Boeing 747-400s.
- Executive:16 leather seats with individual monitors in the nose section. Seat pitch 54 inches and seat breadth 27 inches. This is one of the best seat pitches in Executive class for this region and is better than Air France, Air New Zealand, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, JAL, MAS and Singapore Airlines.
- Premium economy:64 seats, that have the comfort and dimensions of a business class seat, including monitors, behind Executive and on the top deck. Seat pitch 40 inches and seat breadth 23 inches.

Economy: 317 seats. Seat pitch 33 inches and seat breadth 17 inches.
This is one of the best seat pitches in Economy class for this region and is better than Alitalia, British Airways, Qantas, and Singapore Airlines.
The airline also has convenient connections from Bali to destinations in Australia, New Zealand and Japan, plus regular flights to its hub in Jakarta for access to the entire Garuda regional network. There are also good connections from Bangkok to Singapore and Jakarta.
In mainland Europe, Garuda also flies from Frankfurt to Singapore and Bali, and Amsterdam to Singapore and Jakarta three times a week.
