More than 2,000 Greek tourists sampled the exotic culture of Malaysia<.> in 1999, according to the head of the Malaysian tourism organisation, Ahmad Esa.

Malaysia is one of several increasingly popular destinations among Greek travellers as it combines adventure holidaying, shopping, a cosmopolitan atmosphere, tropical islands and the fascinating culture of the East.

In October the country will host the final round of the Formula 1, at which the title-holder is likely to be determined.

In Greece, Malaysian Airlines and its subsidiary Golden Holidays is represented by the Amphitrion Group of Companies.
