Celebrity Cruises gears up for most extensive Asia season with maiden call for Celebrity Constellation in Singapore

The new Asia season for Celebrity Constellation includes an official welcome on the ship’s first arrival in Singapore today from Ms Wong Jiali, assistant director, cruise business development at the Singapore Tourism Board, who exchanged plaques with Captain Vitorio Cantu onboard.

Modern luxury cruise ship Celebrity Constellation, has arrived in Singapore on for the first time for its inaugural season in Asia, with over 2,000 international guests on full capacity.  Over 10,000 international holidaymakers will embark Celebrity Constellation in Singapore to cruise in Asia during spring 2017.

The 2,038-guest Celebrity Constellation is calling the region home until April 2017, and will also celebrate maiden calls to Laem Chabang (January 29), Hong Kong (February 11), Manila (February 13) and Kota Kinabalu (February 16) during the new deployment. She is fully booked for her 10-night cruise today to Ko Samui, Bangkok (with an overnight), Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang, with also over 2,000 guests onboard, over the Chinese New Year period.


The new Asia season for Celebrity Constellation includes an official welcome on the ship’s first arrival in Singapore today from Ms Wong Jiali, assistant director, cruise business development at the Singapore Tourism Board, who exchanged plaques with Captain Vitorio Cantu onboard. Plus, throughout February 2017 travel industry professionals will also join Celebrity Cruises on-board the ship in Singapore for familiarisation tours and training.

The historic arrival of Celebrity Constellation is part of Celebrity Cruises’ largest ever fleet presence in Asia with two ships sailing throughout the region in 2017. In addition to Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Millennium is offering cruises from Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo until May 2017 and returns to Tokyo in September 2017.

Celebrity Constellation is already scheduled to return to Asia in January 2018 due to strong demand from international holidaymakers looking to explore the region.


Cruises on offer during Celebrity Constellation’s first Asia season are between 10 and 15 nights with ports of call throughout Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, India and Sri Lanka. Highlights include overnight stays in destinations such as Bangkok and Singapore.

80 per cent of Celebrity Constellation’s accommodation has either an ocean view or a private balcony, and the ship was extensively refurbished in 2013. Guests choosing to holiday in Suite Class enjoy personal butlers, access to an exclusive restaurant, priority embarkation, a more inclusive approach to drinks and internet access and much more. There are ten different restaurants and informal cafes on-board, spa by Canyon Ranch, a popular Martini Bar and Cellar Masters wine bar, and even an iLounge offering Apple workstations and classes packed with tips to make the most of Apple products and tools.

Celebrity Cruises offers cruises throughout Southeast Asia on two ships – Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Constellation – until April 2017, with Celebrity Millennium returning to the region in September 2017, and Celebrity Constellation in January 2018.
