In a move to significantly drive multinational sales efforts on a global basis, Carlson Wagonlit Travel has appointed Martin Warner, a seasoned professional with over 20 years experience in the corporate travel industry, as Executive Vice President Global Sales and Marketing.
In his new role, Martin will oversee sales and marketing efforts worldwide, based in London. His focus will be growing multinational sales, and harmonizing product strategies. He becomes a member of the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Global Management Committee, reporting directly to Herve Gourio, President and CEO Worldwide.
Martin, 39, a British citizen, is a specialist in travel in a multicultural and international context, with extensive experience in the areas of Operations, Sales, Account Management, Marketing and Industry Relations. His track record during his 23-year career within the company includes Global implementation and Account Management of Carlson Wagonlit Travel`s relationship with General Electric in 24 countries, implementing, developing the relationship throughout Europe and Asia Pacific.
Prior to heading up global sales, Martin was Vice President Asia Pacific and Latin America from 1997, based in Australia, with specific responsibilities for developing Sales and Account Management, Solutions and the Industry Relations functions.
