Perth Convention Bureau (PCB) announced this month the recent appointment of Caitlin Craig to the position of Director of Community Relations.
The new Community Relations division to take effect July 2014, will focus its efforts on Local Conveners, Ambassadors and Convention Services. Previously Senior Business Development Manager at PCB, Ms Craig has a background in Tourism with more than 6 years’ success at the Bureau.
“Within her success at PCB, Caitlin’s specific work developing Local West Australian Conveners was outstanding; hence her appointment. PCB’s Local Convener methodology has contributed to PCB’s nation-leading ROI to government of $31 for every dollar invested. ’I’m very pleased to confirm Caitlin as our new Director of Community Relations to further drive this success” CEO of PCB, Paul Beeson, said.
“It has been a pleasure working with PCB for the last 6 years and I am looking forward to this new chapter. PCB has a long history of supporting Local conveners with the celebration of our 40th anniversary only last year. This new division will continue to recognise and profile their high level of contribution to the State Western Australia” Caitlin Craig mentioned.
Perth Convention Bureau is responsible for marketing Perth and Western Australia as a business tourism destination. Funded by Tourism WA and the City of Perth, in the financial year 2012/2013, it secured business events that will require more than 200,000 hotel room nights and inject delegate expenditure to the Western Australian economy annually.
