With the beginning of the summer timetable 2007, Lufthansa will become the first European airline to offer a new direct connection from Munich to Busan, South Korea`s most important port. Starting 27 March 2007 an Airbus A340-300 will then link three times a week Munich with Seoul, South Korea`s capital and biggest city, and on an ongoing flight with Busan.

With about 3.7 million inhabitants, Busan is South Korea`s second-largest city and an important trade centre. Including the new Busan services, the Lufthansa flight schedule thus now comprises together with the existing, daily Seoul connection ten weekly flights from Germany to South Korea. The German airline will be offering most direct flights to South Korea among all European carriers while it is the only one to service two destinations in this Asian country from Europe.
