Arigato Travel teams up with regional Destination Management Company “Nearby Tokyo” and the “Sake Voyage” association to offer new local experiences in Tochigi.
TOKYO, JAPAN – Arigato Travel announce its collaboration with Nearby Tokyo and the Sake Voyage association to offer local and authentic experiences in Tochigi Prefecture.
After being very active in cities such as Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and working closely with Shizuoka prefecture to develop tours and activities at the base of Mt Fuji for years, Arigato Travel continues to expand its offerings to other areas of Japan. Their objective is for travelers to experience more off-the-beaten-track destinations and explore the hidden gems across Japan.
With amazing sake breweries, delicious food, inspiring nature, impressive ceramic artisans, popular spots such as Nikko or Mashiko, fun activities such as all-you-can-eat strawberry picking and so much more, Tochigi is a perfect destination.
Thanks to their culinary connections, their passion for the prefecture, and partnerships that run deep in cities and towns across the area, Angus Miyaji and his team at Nearby Tokyo was the perfect ally to join forces with. Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, Sake Voyage is an association of 4 breweries in the area: “TONOIKE SAKE BREWERY” (Mashiko), “SHIMAZAKI SAKE BREWERY” (Nasukarasuyama), “WATANABESAHEI SAKE BREWERY” (Nikko), and “KATAYAMA SAKE BREWERY” (Nikko). Working together, they will be able to offer a deeper “sake experience” and a more local Tochigi journey to inbound tourists from around the world and also for foreign locals who are ready to explore beyond the well-worn path between Tokyo and Osaka.
