Three of Asia`s most culturally fascinating cities are being added to Thai Airways International `s expanding world routenet.
They are:
Luang Prabang in Laos – the jewel of Indochina and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. The ancient city is surrounded by mountains at the junction of the Mekong and its tributary, the Khan river
Guilin in China – southern China`s shining pearl with a 2000-year history and stunning scenery
Chennai in India – the fourth largest city in Asia (after Calcutta, Bombay and Delhi). Chennai has been on international trade routes for centuries and today is the centre of South India`s film industry
All three cities will have flights from Bangkok starting: October 26 for Chennai; November 29 (Luang Prabang) and January 21 next year (Guilin).
Other new routes in THAI`s winter schedule are Sydney-Melbourne-Phuket-Bangkok; Tokyo-Chiang Mai-Bangkok; Osaka-Phuket-Bangkok; Taipei-Hong Kong-Chiang Mai-Bangkok; and Chiang Mai-Rangoon.
THAI has also increased frequencies from Bangkok to: London, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Seoul, Jakarta, Colombo and Krabi.
