Amadeus strengthens relationship with Uniglobe Travel

Amadeus announced it has signed a five-year agreement with Uniglobe Travel, the world’s largest single-brand travel franchise, to provide content distribution services and IT solutions worldwide.

This five-year contract renewal will extend Uniglobe TMC access to Amadeus inventory of 430 bookable airlines, over 110,000 hotel properties, 30 car rental companies, and 22 of the world’s cruise lines, aiming to incentivize growth of bookings within the UNIGLOBE network both organically and internationally. The agreement will cover India, Belgium, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Slovenia, and South Africa amongst other countries. The two companies continue to work together as part of a long-term strategic technology partnership to offer specialized travel services to mid-sized corporate accounts and vacation travelers.

“Amadeus is proud to extend and grow its successful partnership with Uniglobe Travel to new territories. Uniglobe clients will benefit from a truly global travel management program with full visibility of their travel costs. Powered by Amadeus technology, the Uniglobe network will be able to access consistent and high quality data and manage real-time travel information across the globe,”
said Albert Pozo, Vice President Multinational Business & Corporate Travel for Amadeus worldwide.

Amadeus has created a set of best-of-breed solutions specifically for customers in the franchise segment, in response to a growing trend toward local and regional travel management companies worldwide networking on global accounts.

Martin Charlwood, Uniglobe President and Chief Operating Officer, said, “We are pleased to forge a new five-year agreement with Amadeus. Using Amadeus technology, we can continue to broaden our global industry presence while maintaining distinct customer service tailored to local markets across the 60 countries in which we do business. This partnership gives UNIGLOBE a sustainable competitive advantage in our endeavour to become themost dependable travel management company in the world.”
