Aloft Hotels enters Japan with a bang with the signing of Aloft Tokyo Ginza

Tokyo, Japan – Marriott International, Inc., announced the signing of Aloft Tokyo Ginza with The Sankei Building Co., Ltd. Expected to open in spring 2020, the newly-built Aloft Tokyo Ginza will mark the debut of the tech-forward brand in Japan with its fiercely bold, modern design.

"We are thrilled to announce the signing of Aloft Tokyo Ginza in partnership with The Sankei Building Co., Ltd., introducing the Aloft brand to Japan," said Paul Foskey, Chief Development Officer, Asia Pacific, Marriott International. “Inbound travel to Japan is increasing every year, and with its exciting urban design and unbeatable central location, the hotel will be appeal to next-gen travelers who crave jet-setting style and a vibrant social scene at an affordable price.”

The 16-storey hotel is expected to feature 206 loft-like guestrooms including four suites. True to the Aloft brand’s tech-forward DNA, guestrooms are also expected to feature keyless entry, enabling guests to use their smartphone or Apple watch as a room key.

Aloft Tokyo Ginza’s exciting food and beverage options include The Warehouse – a semi-open kitchen concept with a wide range of buffet-style dining; the brand’s signature W XYZ bar, where guests can mix and mingle whilst sipping on signature cocktails and enjoying live music from the brand’s Live At Aloft Hotels program; and Re:fuelby Aloft, which offers those on the go a 24/7 a one-stop shop for convenient grab-and-go food options.

The hotel’s Re:charge fitness center, perfect for guests to stay get re-energized after a day of exploring the city.
