Amazing Colours of the East await winners of TAT Newsroom Blogger Thailand 2018 competition

Lucky winners will travel from 28 May to 1 June 2018 to experience the Colours of the East on offer in the provinces of Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Bangkok – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s is pleased to announce the itinerary for its TAT Newsroom Blogger Thailand 2018 competition as part of the ‘Open to the New Shades’ communication concept.

Lucky winners will travel from 28 May to 1 June, 2018, to experience the ‘Colours of the East’ on offer in the provinces of Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Each destination will highlight the endless array of experiences along Thailand’s picturesque and culturally vibrant Eastern Seaboard.

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, said: “This trip will be an aspirational journey into the heart and soul of the ‘Colours of the East’. The region features rich examples of gastronomy, arts and crafts, Thai culture plus nature, and beaches that bloggers can use as motivation. It is a fitting reward that should inspire more entries to have a chance to go on this amazing trip.”

Officials from the TAT International Public Relations Division will soon be conducting a survey trip to the provinces of Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat to create a unique itinerary for the winning bloggers.

Here are some of the highlights of the three provinces:

Rayong is known for its fruit orchards, seaside fishing villages, Samet Island, Mae Ramphueng Beach, Sunthon Phu Monument, Khao Laem Ya-Mu and Ko Samet National Park, Ko Kloi Floating Market and Thung Prong Thong.

Chanthaburi offers insights to the Chanthaboon Riverside Community, Chao Lao Beach, Kung Krabaen Bay Royal Development Study Centre, its glittering gems street, Phliu Waterfall, Oasis Sea World, Noen-Nangphaya Viewpoint and the landless village of Rai Pandin.

Trat is famous for the stunning beauty of Ko Chang and Sai Dam beach (black sand beach), the narrowest part of Thailand at Khlong Yai sub-district, Sai Khao Beach (white sand beach), the Trat History Museum and Bang Bao fishing village.

Bloggers can submit their entries to the 3rd TAT Newsroom Blogger Thailand competition from now until 15 February, 2018. The voting period is from 1 January to 15 March, 2018, with the winners announced in the last week of March.
