HNA Hospitality to align promotions and loyalty programs with HiApp

The initiative allows customers of both the Group and HiApp to exchange reward points to take advantage of each other's membership benefits.

BEIJING – HNA Hospitality Group kicks off a new co-branded loyalty initiave with HiApp, the recently-launched digital travel platform of HNA Group that aims to integrate HNA’s offerings in aviation, hospitality and financial sectors to provide customers with a unique seamless travel experience.

The initiative allows customers of both the Group and HiApp to exchange reward points to take advantage of each other’s membership benefits. For example, users of HiApp can redeem the points they accumulated on the platform for HNA Hospitality’s points to enjoy room upgrades or free stays.

It’s not the first time that HNA Hospitality has teamed up with fellow HNA units to offer a greater variety of services. Prior to the HiApp connect, the Group had launched a partnership with premier private jet operator Deer Jet, offering charter customers with non-stop round trips on board the 787 Dream Jet and complimentary nights at exclusive properties such as the St. Regis Bora Bora resort in Tahiti.

Another example is that from December 1st, 2017 to December 31st, 2018, travelers arriving at Brussels, Belgium on board Hainan Airlines can enjoy lodging benefits such as room discounts and late checkouts at Tangla Brussels, the unique Asian-inspired hotel owned by HNA Hospitality, which features relaxing Feng Shui rooms and one-of-a-kind buffet restaurant, Le Cinq.

Creating synergies through seamless collaboration between HNA Hospitality’s lodging assets and other HNA untis has been a key part of our strategy as China’s fast-growing travel market creates huge business opportunities,” Steven Song, the President of HNA Hospitality Group said. “We hope to capture a larger share of the market by providing consumers with a holistic and hassle-free experience as they desire.”

With more co-branded services and products in the pipeline, including integrating Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group with existing HNA resourse, HNA Hospitality is looking to create more synergies among HNA’s businesses, giving the company a greater leverage in the booming Chinese tourism market.
