Amadeus earns three top employers certifications across Asia Pacific for 2018

Rich and diverse culture alongside new technologies, are driving growth for Amadeus in Bangkok, Singapore and Sydney.

Bangkok, Thailand – Business transformations are inevitable for companies looking to keep up the pace with the rise of digital disruptors and rapid technology change. Employee engagement and development, performance management, and attracting and retaining top talent are some of the biggest challenges facing companies today.

This year, Asia Pacific has seen companies invest more than ever in digital transformation technologies. Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, is committed to creating a positive and digitized culture that fosters teamwork, embraces diversity, and stimulates innovation for employees.

Top Employers Institute has recognized the strides that Amadeus has made in its offices in Bangkok, Singapore, and Sydney, naming the company a Top Employer in all three countries. This is the first time Amadeus has gained the recognition in Singapore, and the second and third consecutive years it has received this award in Sydney and Bangkok respectively.

A spokesperson from Top Employers Institute said, “This certification is awarded to the best employers in the world, namely organizations that demonstrate excellent employee offerings and employment practices that help people grow personally and professionally. Our survey found that Amadeus fosters a conducive work environment and offers innovative initiatives that are forward-thinking and aligned with their company culture.”

In Asia Pacific, Amadeus boasts a workforce of more than 4,200 people from more than 40 nationalities. Driven to continue engaging employees across all territories in multiple languages, there is keen focus on building Amadeus’ reputation as an employer of choice, attracting and hiring the right people, and instilling pride to support motivation and retention. Earlier this year, to cater to the different generations and nationalities in the same working place, Amadeus partnered with Ijsfontein, a company specialized in gamification, to develop the Amadeus Crew Game to promote feedback and help bridge cultural differences.

Pablo Alonso, Asia Pacific Human Resources Director at Amadeus said, “At Amadeus, people and culture are at the heart of our business. We place a strong focus on developing our HR practices to create a fully committed, engaged and culturally diverse workforce. We are delighted to see our efforts being recognized by Top Employers in Sydney and Bangkok for the second and third consecutive year, and for the first time in Singapore!”

Companies who participate in the Top Employers certification must undergo a robust assessment process and meet the required high standard in order to achieve certification. Top Employers Institute assessed Amadeus employee offerings based on talent strategy, workforce planning, learning and development, culture, compensation and benefits, amongst others.
