"Shaanxi Night" tourism promotion event bloomed at ASTA China Summit 2017

This promotion event was highly efficient and practical; By leveraging the power of ASTA China Summit 2017 held in Guiyang, it attracted the great attention of many US travel agents.

GUI YANG, China - At 7:00 p.m. on November 10th, 2017, "Shaanxi Night" Tourism Promotion Event was grandly held in Hyatt Regency Guiyang Hotel, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. Nearly 200 people took part in the event, including US travel agents, representatives of American Society of Travel Agents(ASTA), representatives of Tourism Development Committees of Shaanxi and Guizhou Province, staff of main inbound travel agencies from Shaanxi Province, business persons of high-quality Grade A tourist attractions and representatives of media circles of Shaanxi and Guizhou Province.

The tourism promotion event was kicked off with the marvelous Great Tang Welcome Ceremony. Mr. Chen Mengyu, Deputy Director of Tourism Development Committee of Shaanxi Province, delivered the opening speech. He mainly introduced the important historical and cultural status of Shaanxi. Shaanxi is one of the cradles of Chinese People and Chinese Culture and also the starting point of the Silk Road. The province boasts many fascinating tourism products. Taking the opportunity of ASTA China Summit 2017, members of Tourism Development Committee of Shaanxi Province came to Guiyang and made full preparations on "Shaanxi Night" promotion event, which mainly targeted the US travel agents with the purpose of displaying the distinguished values of Shaanxi tourism and realizing the win-win cooperation through business negotiations with enterprises, thus promoting the cooperation and communication between the US travel agencies and the organizations of Shaanxi tourism industry, attracting more tourists to Shaanxi, helping more American friends go to experience Shaanxi and Chinese Culture, and building up the friendship bridge between the two nations for their mutual understanding and communicating.

Then, Mr. Wang Wenxue, Deputy Director of Tourism Development Committee of Guizhou Province and Mr. Robert Duglin, Vice President of ASTA, delivered a speech respectively. Then came the formal tourism promotion part.

Firstly, Hao Ning, the image ambassador of Shaanxi Tourism, made a wonderful presentation of Shaanxi tourism for all guests present. He gave a comprehensive introduction about the long history, famous tourism attractions, natural sceneries, cultural experience, local delicacies, leisure entertainment as well as tourism development of Shaanxi, especially the 2017 Xi'an Silk Road Global Tourism Exhibition to be held from March 30th to April 1st, 2018. He warmly invited US travel agents to sign up for the exhibition. They were in high spirits and expressed their great interest in the abundant tourism resources of Xi'an.

After the introduction of tourism resources of Shaanxi, Ms. Xie Jian, deputy General Manager from Xi'an CITS Global Travel BranchOffice introduced five classic travel routes of Shaanxi to the guests and provided first-hand information to all the present American travel agents, which greatly facilitated the promotions and sales of tourism products.

Cultural performance and Lucky Draw were also set to activate the atmosphere and an overwhelming response was triggered. Guests were really fond of the lucky awards "simulated small Terra-Cotta Warriors". The high tide of the interactive session came when the final awards were announced, which were two tickets of a 3-night-and-4-day trip in Shaanxi for each group (2 groups in all). The US travel agents Willa O'Brien and Jessica Soto were extremely excited to win the lucky awards and expressed their deep interest in Shaanxi tourism. They all expressed their expectations to have a field trip to Shaanxi.

This promotion event was highly efficient and practical. By leveraging the power of ASTA China Summit 2017 held in Guiyang, it attracted the great attention of many US travel agents. By introducing rich travel resources and tourist routes of Shaanxi, this conference strengthened the image of Shaanxi in the US tourism market and made an efficient and direct promotion of Shaanxi tourism products to American travel agents. Shaanxi will keep seeking the best promotion opportunities, continue to innovate overseas promotion types, enrich tourism resources of Shaanxi constantly and improve its service levels in a proactive and efficient manner so as to promote the continuous and stable development of the Shaanxi inbound tourism market.
