Mr. Jay Lee, Chief Operating Officer of Landing International, received the "Presidential Commendation" at "Foreign Company Day 2017 – Korean Investment Award Ceremony", on behalf of Dr. Yang Zhihui.
HONG KONG – Dr. Yang Zhihui, Chairman and Executive Director of Landing International Development Limited, was accredited the “Presidential Commendation” at “Foreign Company Day 2017 – Korean Investment Award Ceremony“, organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy and coordinated by Korea Foreign Company Association at Le Meridien Hotelin Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, South Korea on 7 November 2017.
The Korean Investment Award Ceremony is an annual event among the Korean business community. Evaluated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, the awards aim at recognizing members of foreign-invested companies, related organizations and government agencies that have successfully introduced capital inflow and contributed to the economy and society of South Korea.
Landing International, chaired by Dr. Yang Zhihui, is the developer and operator of Jeju Shinhwa World, the first large-scale integrated leisure and entertainment resort on Jeju Island. The Group has invested approximately US$1.5 billion of foreign direct investment into South Korea through its wholly-owned subsidiary Landing Jeju Development Co., Ltd since September 2013.
Apart from the Group’s investment in Jeju, Dr. Yang Zhihui attaches significant importance to corporate social responsibility and puts forward three major principles: “Environment Protection“, “Compliance with Legal Principles” and “Supporting Businesses with Local Residents“. The Group actively supports local youth education and personnel training, assists middle-aged women who lack work experience in employment, and is committed to activities in relation to environmental protection. Dr. Yang has emphasized that the success of corporations is mutually reinforcing with local social development, which is also one of the major reasons he was awarded as the forerunner in introducing foreign investment to South Korea.

Dr. Yang has been engaging in real estate development business in Anhui Province, China since 2006. With profound industry experience and unique investment insights, Dr. Yang has been a respected leader in the industry and was recognized as an “Excellent Entrepreneur in China’s Real Estate Industry” and one of the “Top 10 Leaders in China’s Real Estate Industry 2009“, demonstrating wide recognition of his leadership and decision-making capabilities. Under Dr. Yang’s leadership, Landing International has extended its footprint from China to overseas markets since 2013. The company is currently seeking business opportunities in foreign countries including South Korea and Philippines.
Jeju Shinhwa World opened its full-serviced resort condominium, Somerset Jeju Shinhwa World, in April 2017, and announced the official opening of Shinhwa Theme Park on 30 September 2017. Jeju Shinhwa World is working at full steam to prepare opening for business of its phase one at the end of this year.
