EVA introduces midday treat for San Francisco-Asia travelers

Starts noontime service October 29, ups flights from 14 weekly to 17.

SAN FRANCISCO – EVA Air, a member of Star Alliance and SKYTRAX-rated 5-Star Airline, is offering San Francisco passengers a treat in the form of more convenience and itinerary choices. It’s adding flights midday and moving the three it operates in the late afternoon to the nighttime schedule. Starting October 29, 2017, EVA will offer three weekly noontime and two daily nighttime departures from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), just outside of Taipei, Taiwan, boosting frequency to 17 flights a week.

The new midday flights get passengers into Taipei in late afternoon, in time for dinner or an easy, one-stop nighttime connection to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila or Saigon. Return flights arrive in San Francisco in the early morning, giving passengers the full day to enjoy Bay-area attractions, schedule meetings and work or travel onward to destinations throughout the United States and Canada.

EVA flight BR07 departs SFO on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:20 pm and arrives in TPE at 5:10 pm the following day. Return flight BR08 leaves TPE on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 am and arrives in SFO at 6:30 am the same day. Flight time for the nonstop service, SFO-TPE, is approximately 13 hours and 50 minutes and TPE-SFO is 11 hours.

EVA’s boosted schedule adds choices and gives passengers more flexibility for planning itineraries to and from Asia, including increased opportunities to access popular tourism destinations or markets, financial centers and manufacturing hubs. By the end of 2017, EVA will be offering more than 80 flights a week between North America and Taipei from eight gateways that, in addition to San Francisco, include Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver. From Taipei, EVA provides easy, one-stop connections to major cities throughout Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and Mainland China.
