THAI and Thai Smile increase flights for public participation in Royal Cremation

As the Thai Government has declared 26 October 2017 a public holiday, THAI and Thai Smile will increase flights to enable Thai mourners across Thailand to participate in His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej's royal cremation ceremony.

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) and Thai Smile Airways will increase flights in order that the Thai public nationwide may participate in the royal cremation ceremony of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Mrs. Usanee Sangsingkeo, Acting President, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), said that as the Thai Government has declared 26 October 2017 a public holiday, THAI and Thai Smile will increase flights to enable Thai mourners across Thailand to participate in His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s royal cremation ceremony.

The following additional domestic flights will be operated from 23-31 October 2017 in order to facilitate the increase in passenger travel:

THAI: Increase flights from Bangkok-Phuket at 11 roundtrip flights per day, Bangkok-Chiang Mai at five roundtrip flights per day, operating a total of 144 flights or over 90,000 passenger seats.

Thai Smile: Increase flights from Bangkok-Udon Thani at five roundtrip flights per day, Bangkok-Hat Yai at eight roundtrip flights per day, Bangkok-Surat Thani at three roundtrip flights per day, Bangkok-Narathiwat at two roundtrip flights per day, operating a total of 440 flights or over 72,000 passenger seats.
