Langham Hospitality Group promotes Simon Manning to CSMO

With 21 hotels currently opened and over 30 more to be opened in the next three years, the Hong Kong-based hotel group is well positioned to drive future growth.

Hong Kong – In tandem with its steady growth and expansion plans, Langham Hospitality Group is strengthening its sales and marketing division with the promotion of Simon Manningto senior vice president, chief sales and marketing officer.

Manning is a seasoned hotel professional with more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in luxury hotel groups. His experience includes assignments in North America, Middle East and Europe and Asia Pacific.

Since 2011, Manning has been an integral member of the steering committee and management team, and has been closely involved in the achievements and growth of Langham Hospitality Group.

He was tasked to re-build the sales and marketing functions when he first joined the group. Today, Manning had successfully integrated sales, revenue management, marketing communications, public relations, e-commerce, customer relationship management (CRM), and global programmes disciplines and department leaders, whose contribution and performance are integral to the success of the group.

The group is growing steadily with 21 hotels currently opened and over 30 more to be opened in the next three years.

Prior to joining Langham Hospitality Group, Manning headed the sales and marketing division for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in the Asia Pacific region. Under his leadership, The Ritz-Carlton successfully expanded from three to 22 hotels in Asia, when the luxury hotel group launched world-renowned brands such as BVLGARI Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton Residences and the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Reserve.

To boost the marketing capabilities of Langham Hospitality Group, Roberta Lee has been appointed in the newly created role of vice president, marketing, reporting directly to Manning. As the new vice president of marketing, Lee brings over 20 years in the luxury retail industry to her current role. At Langham Hospitality Group, she oversees and sets the strategies for the e-commerce, CRM, public relations and marketing communications functions.

A veteran in the luxury fashion and accessories circuit, Lee has previously led marketing, promotions and CRM initiatives for Nirav Modi in Asia Pacific, Stuart Weitzman in Asia & Pacific, Chanel in Hong Kong and Macau, and Hermes in Greater China.
