Centara World Masters shows off top Thai courses and an historic resort to international golfers.
Huahin – Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s leading hotel operator, will again be the main sponsor and host of the Centara World Mastersamateur golf tournament in Hua Hin next 10th – 16th June. 2018 will mark the fifth year of the tournament, which attracts golfers from over 50 countries. It is expected to be bigger and better than ever, as it combines a week of golf at some of Thailand’s best courses with social and entertainment activities in this famous seaside resort town. The 2017 tournament, recently completed, was lauded by participants for its beautiful courses and excellent organisation, along with world class accommodations and gala events at Centara’s famous resort in Hua Hin.
Next year’s tournament will feature four outstanding courses. Players will enjoy one round each at Springfield Royal Country Club, Black Mountain, Banyan Golf Club and Imperial Lake View. Carts and caddies will be provided at each course, and each player will be assigned a caddie wearing a bib with the player’s name and country flag. The tournament will be open to men and women over 35.
Centara Hotels & Resorts is the major sponsor and most golfers choose to stay at the ideally located Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas in Huahin. Established in the 1920s, the resort has been restored and renovated with all the modern luxuries and conveniences, while retaining the magic of elegant, bygone eras. Taking full advantage of Centara’s beachfront location, the opening night welcome dinner and gala presentation dinners are hosted around the resort pool with the beach as a stunning backdrop. Golfers gather each night during the tournament for 19th Hole festivities where tempting Thai cuisine and Chang beer flows and daily golf winners are celebrated.
