Austrian Airlines celebrates its first anniversary of Hong Kong – Vienna route

HONG KONG – To celebrate the first anniversary of the only non-stop service between Hong Kong and Vienna, Austrian Airlines unveils a promotional return fare (Economy Class) from Hong Kong to the Austrian capital Vienna, starting from 1 September to 9 October 2017.

 

Mr. Malte Haut, General Manager Sales Hong Kong, South China and Macao, Lufthansa Group Airlines said, “A year ago, we welcomed the first Austrian airlines flight of to Vienna route, offering travelers the only non-stop service between the two cities. Today, on its first anniversary, I am delighted to see the growing popularity of this beautiful city not only as a travel destination, but also as a transit hub for travelers to reach other parts of Europe. Those who traveled first time on Austrian airlines are very impressed by the product and service we offer. As of next summer schedule we will further enhance the customer experience with the introduction of Premium economy on all Austrian intercontinental aircrafts.”

 

As one of the latest addition to its expanding route network in Asia that currently flies to Beijing, Shanghai and Bangkok, Austrian Airlines launched the only non-stop flight service between Hong Kong and Vienna, five times a week, on a specially branded Boeing 777 last year on 6 September 2016. In order to commemorate this route, the lettering “Servus Hong Kong” on the flight is shown in traditional Chinese characters combined with Hong Kong’s flag. “Servus” is a traditional greeting in German, especially used in Austria.

 

Terms and conditions apply for this special anniversary fare from Hong Kong to Vienna. Tickets are valid for travel between 11 September 2017 and 24 June 2018, which includes the peak travel season of this autumn and next summer.
