Taxidio: Setting a trend for DIY travellers

Taxidio aims to bridge the gap between travel planning and execution by combining its predictive algorithm with a massive database of destinations to simplify the process of trip planning for its users every step along the way.

MUMBAI – Mumbai-based travel firm, Taxidio, is an online trip planner that specializes in an automated recommendation of holiday destinations based on the traveller’s interest and generates fully customisable itineraries in accordance with the traveller’s preferences. The travel portal specifically caters to the DIY travellers who prefer planning a trip at their time and pace by replacing rigid itineraries with flexible ones. It aims to bridge the gap between travel planning and execution by combining its predictive algorithm with a massive database of destinations to simplify the process of trip planning for its users every step along the way. Additionally, it lists hotels that are in proximity to most of the traveller’s points of interest and also enables them to purchase attraction tickets in advance.

“When it comes to travelling, people often tend to restrict themselves to only a chosen few destinations. We believe that countries beyond this usual list have tremendous tourism potential that travellers are unaware of. Besides, travel planning is not a one-size-fits-all phenomenon. That is where we step in and enable our users to select a few parameters on the basis of which we recommend the right destinations and empower them to customise their itineraries based on their convenience”, says Vishal Kejariwal, the CEO and Co-founder of Taxidio who is an avid traveller himself.

The travel industry across the globe has been very receptive towards IT innovations. With technological transformations and new approaches to age-old problems, the travel sector has a dominant position in the online space, surpassing the need for offline agents. “Despite the increase in the number of travel portals today, the industry still suffers from leakages in the automated travel system. This is primarily due to an overload of information across the internet, lack of personalised content and the time-consuming nature of research and trip planning. Hence, we provide our users with completely personalised information, along with comprehensive travel guides that cover every city in depth, and on-the-go economic, political and weather updates,” adds Abhas Desai, the CTO and Co-founder, Taxidio.
