Courtyard by Marriott welcomes its first hotel in Hunan

Courtyard by Marriott Changsha South brings innovative technology and modern comfort to both business and leisure travelers alike.

CHANGSHA, China – Marriott International, Inc. in collaboration with Xinhe Real Estate Co., Ltd. of CSCEC, one of the world’s top 500 enterprises, announced the opening of the 260-room Courtyard by Marriott Changsha South in Changsha, Hunan province. Marking the first Courtyard branded property in Hunan, the hotel combines innovative technology with modern style and comfort, ensuring that business and leisure travelers alike have the space they need to make the most of their time while on the road.
 
Courtyard by Marriott Changsha South occupies a prime location at the core of Changsha, comprising part of Zhongjian Plaza, a modern commercial and entertainment complex with high-end office buildings, U+block and banks. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Taskin City Plaza, 6-kilometers from the high-speed railway station and 22-kilometers from Changsha Huanghua International Airport.

Courtyard by Marriott Changsha South features 260 guestrooms, including 182 standard rooms, 66 executive rooms, 11 suites and one vice presidential suite. Each stylish and contemporary guestroom contains an open-plan structure designed to make guests feel at home. Amenities include a user-friendly working area, high-speed Internet access, a high-definition television with satellite program channels, a mini bar and an ergonomic sofa. For a peaceful night’s sleep, each bed sports premium Slumberland mattresses with plush down quilts and a choice of five pillow types.
 
Executive room guests can also enjoy access to a spacious Executive Lounge on the top floor of the hotel. With a relaxing atmosphere and panoramic city views, the lounge serves breakfast, refreshments and sunset cocktails. Dining options at Courtyard by Marriott Changsha South include international cuisine at Pavilion, the all-day dining venue with an enticing open kitchen and three private dining rooms; coffee, wine and cocktails at the casual Lobby Lounge; and a rich selection of fine Chinese teas at the lobby’s tea bar.
 
For business meetings, weddings or other social events, the hotel boasts a modern banquet hall with plenty of natural lighting and three multi-function rooms, totaling 1,000 square meters in space. The Grand Ballroom offers the largest high definition projection capacity in Hunan, presenting guests with unparalleled visual effects. The versatile space can also be divided into two conference rooms of the same size according to the needs of guests.
 
Other hotel facilities include a 24-hour fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment for effective aerobic, strength, resistance and power training sessions. In addition, all treadmills, cross-training machines and horizontal bicycles are fitted with personal plasma TV and music options.
