Thailand showcases luxury travel experiences to agents from Asia

The educational fam trip will cover some of the finest luxury tourism products and services in each of the three featured destinations, Bangkok, Ko Samui and Chiang Mai.

Bangkok – The Tourism Authority of Thailand(TAT) is hosting 30 leading agents from Asia to a seven-day fam trip and trade meet exclusively designed to showcase unique Thai travel experiences in Bangkok, Ko Samui and Chiang Mai from 26 June to 2 July.

On 27 June, the buyers joined the Amazing Thailand Luxury Trade Meet 2017 to get the chance to know the Thai sellers from the high-end hoteliers and tourism-related services; such as, hotels and resorts, golf courses, and spas. The event provided a prospective platform for Thai luxury tourism operators to discuss business and network with owners or decision-makers of luxury tour companies from China (13), Hong Kong (1), India (4), Indonesia (2), Japan (2), Korea (2), Malaysia (2), Taiwan (2) and Vietnam (2).

Mrs. Srisuda Wanapinyosak, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and South Pacific said, “Thailand offers a plethora of customised luxury experiences for luxury travellers. These include five-star boutique resorts offering privacy and seclusion, upscale restaurants, award-winning spas and certified health centres, and some of the most elegant shopping malls. This educational fam trip has helped to further enhance the image of Thailand as a premier luxury destination.”

The educational fam trip will cover some of the finest luxury tourism products and services in each of the three featured destinations, Bangkok, Ko Samui and Chiang Mai. These include five-star accommodation, top-notch meals in fine-dining restaurants, a luxury spa, luxurious travel and transfer as well as tailor-made Thai travel experiences.
